Why do ugly women suffer most in the hands of society when they can't control the way they look?

An ugly man can become attractive and make up for his looks with other skills. There's dozens of situations where ugly men land hot women. But you'll almost never see that happen if its the other way around. Why do ugly women specifically get a hard time with society and society's demands? ever since l was little girl l have been mistreated by so many people of all ages l get dirty looks everywhere, l know ugly guys have a hard time but they are judged less harshly because girls are expected to beautiful. Well not every girl can beautiful some dont get good genes from their parents. Beauty and ugliness may be relative, but how relative is relative?
