Is human shampoo REALLY that bad for dogs?

I'm a groomer and have always made my own shampoo for them. I add Infusium 23 (leave-in treatment) to shampoo (one capfull to a regular sized bottle), shake it up and use it on dogs all the time every day for the past 8 years. Coats and fur are looking better than ever.
