I have been prescribed Cymbalta 30mg and have been taking it for about 5 months. I do not notice a thing?

My doctor says you should notice your mood getting a little better each day, but I really wasn't that depressed to begin with. The doctor has me on pain meds, and knows this can cause some depression, so she has me on Cymbalta as well. This is a new drug and has a pain reliever element to it as well. Is this normal for this drug. Any similiar experience anyone has would be appreciated. Thanks.
