In the film Adrift can anyone explain what happens at the end bit as I don't get it?

make what you want of it, i think she just imagined herself getting on the boat and rescuing her former boyfriend and getting rescued by another boat, you have to remember that in the first one no one was rescued and to me it has the same story but more people, for one i do not believe that with the amount of people who were in the water could get themselves up , but that's just me and i didn't see any sharks when her husband hits his head open, so i think she was in denial of her situation.
